Looking Forward brings together pencil and anti-ageing cream to create a distorted portrait. The cream is rubbed onto the paper in areas where it would typically be applied on the face, leaving the subject with a loss of definition and blurred identity. The sharp contrast between the highly detailed and smudged areas brings into question what one loses in the fight against ageing.
